Constellations Project
The International Astronomical Union recognizes 88 constellations covering the entire northern and southern sky. Here is a selection of the most familiar and easily seen constellations in the northern sky.
You will choose a constellation to research and report on and create a presentation using Prezi. Your Prezi must include the following.:
- Where is the constellation located?
- How did the constellation get its name? Does it have other names?
- When is the best time to see this constellation?
- Name the stars that make up this constellation and discuss their importance.
- What other constellations are nearby?
- Summarize the myth about this constellation (explore different myths such as Greek or Native American).
- What was the most interesting fact about this constellation?
- Log into Prezi.
- Click on this link and make a copy.
- Upload a picture of the constellation and use it as the background.
- Click on "Frames & Arrows," and drag in a frame for each bullet point of information.
- After inputing all of the researched information, you can include pictures that go along with your research.
